Dr. David J. Cochran

Dr. David J. Cochran is the newest member of Norman Urology Associates. He is originally from Crockett, Texas and attended Texas A&M University where he graduated with a bachelors of science in biochemistry in 2013. Following his undergraduate years at TAMU, he attended Texas A&M Health Science Center College of Medicine and graduated in 2017. During medical school, he was elected to the Alpha Omega Alpha medical Honor Society and the Gold Humanism Honor Society. Dr. Cochran completed his general surgery internship and residency in urologic surgery at the University of Oklahoma Health Science Center in Oklahoma City in 2022. Dr. Cochran chose to stay in Oklahoma and work at Norman Urology Associates because he truly enjoyed living with Oklahomans and admired the spirit of the Oklahoma Standard. He received extensive training using the da Vinci robot for procedures treating prostate cancer, kidney cancer, pelvic reconstruction, and severely enlarged prostates. Dr. Cochran and his wife Jasmine have two sons, Theo and Ian. In his free time, he enjoys spending time with family and friends, running, and spending time in the outdoors.

His particular surgical interests include: Vasectomy, incontinence, minimally invasive kidney stone treatment, minimally invasive treatments for enlarged prostate, robotic surgery to remove kidney cancers, prostate cancer, and severely enlarged prostates, robotic kidney and pelvic floor reconstruction, erectile dysfunction therapy, and urethral stricture disease.

Dr. COchran sees both male and female patients.
